Macross: New Series Announcement "Macross F" (Tentative Title)

Oooh.

I was over at the Official JP Macross site and saw this posted in the news section dated 8/28/07.

According to the article (which I can't copy and paste for some reason):

Following the 25th anniversary celebration of the Macross Universe with the "Minmay meets Fire Bomber" event, the staff and title role of "singing princess" of the newest Macross series, "Macross F (Tent)" have been announced."

"Macross F" will be a TV Series and its heroine was named as Ranka Lee played by Megumi Nakajima. It will be directed by Yasuhito Kikuji with Shoji Kawamori overseeing of course. Supposedly, F stands for "Frontier" and is the name of the immigrant ship that serves as the stage for MF.

I enjoy the Macross series (okay, not Hummingbirds but I don't think that counts, and the anime 7...is kinda' frightening) so hopefully this won't involve fighting electric guitars.
