Perfect World: International Client Update

Posted by the game staffer, USERMODE, 9/9/07:

Hmm... well... first of all, sorry for my absence recently due to quite a heavy workloads. I cant reply to the forum much either now and so on until I've some free slot in my schedule (but I'm still accessible thru PM). I know you guys are bit out of patience now. I cant ask more now so I'll give some updates here.

Hmm... I let you know what has happened recently but not in a full explanation tho. at least you got a rough idea on it. Ok, the delays from our estimated plan (remember, it wasnt a promise previously) are caused by a major bug that we discover during our alpha test.

As some of you already knew, the minerals are gone from the game on the earlier client we got from the developer. Things are not as easy as on/off switch for these and we cant release the client since this bug affecting the gameplay when players cant continue their cultivation quest in order to upgrade their cultivation to learn higher skills. The developer have taken their sweet time after that to fix it. Then came the 2nd version of the client.

Also, there's some minor changes on the translations and graphics of the game which not really affecting the game but affecting the quest which some place and monsters name arent synchronized with the quests descriptions which will make players having a hard time to do the quests. Again, the developers have taken their another sweet time fixing it.... and then came another client.

While the developers having their time full with fixing stuffs and such, we here having a our hands full with the Live server setup and anti-bot security. The current anti-bot system in the chinese server have been upgraded to a quite accurate, efficient and the most of it, reliable. it will be applied along with the release of the english client for Public Close Beta phase.

Ok, now talking about the release, so far, all the major preparation for the game are all setted up. We got the final client, we have our servers ready, we have our system ready, we have our anti-bot system ready, we already launch some promotions by our Marketing Dept. So you can count that the release date is around the corner. the ONLY thing shut us here from releasing it is... the final word from our "tai lo" (big brother in Chinese) a.k.a Big Bosses to give their final order. Once we got the final order and final words about the release date, then we will let you guys know a.s.a.p.

Bear in mind, some contents translations are still been upgraded and polished by some of our good fellow forumers which handled by Daemonator. The client that we gonna release will be in a "bit" un-perfect English but no worries, it;s understandable...just not perfect...yet. The polished contents will be applied in the Open Beta client.

So for the testers....I mean real testers that willing to get through the game in the Public Close Beta, there's some very minor quest bug existed in the game that we've discovered during our Alpha test of the final client. But it wont affecting the gameplay at all. it's VERRRYYY few. like a number or two of the quest. BUT....we afraid we might missed out anything. So, if any of you guys discover any bug no matter quest related or whateva, please do report to us so we can give you the best output for Open Beta client. We will let you know the channels you can use to report the bug you've discovered during the Public Close Beta phase later.

so...well, that's all for now.

And then Devil posted this:

And the trolls were appeased. But for how long...for how long? Oh, for two posts until some fuck is like, LIES!! LIES!

And Devil posts:

Good question! as USERMODE mention just now, Waitting for Green Light. Anyway, i'm going in back to the test server to check on the client.
