Soul Caliber IV: Pretty Screenies
I was looking at a few more pictures of the upcoming "Soul Caliber IV" game for the PS3/XBOX 360, and I must say, they're gorgeous. Looking at the character illustrations attached to the article, it also looks like our fave SC ladies have picked up a few extra pounds as well in the T&A department (although according to her profile, Cassandra claims that she's lost weight).
Here's the official site (with Ivy's huge boobage to lead the way):
http://namco-ch.net/soulcalibur4/index.php
Meanwhile, gorgeous Hilda, gorgeous!!
And here's Cassie. You be the judge of whether the Hollywood Cabbage diet worked or not:Still no more news about the SC movie though.

Hellgate London: Last Push
Last Push
It's coming... Hellgate: London is but days away from retail. In preparation for the imminent launch, Flagship and Ping0 have disabled the official website login, forums, and beta servers. Such downtime is necessary to ensure a smooth, explosion free day one.
We know, we know... Downtime sucks. But what must be, simply must be. So, as we tinker to the last minute, tightening bolts and working to minimize sporadic employee electrocutions, you might be able to occupy yourself with various Hellgate previews and reviews.
Try checking out aggregate sites for the latest compiled details:
# Game Rankings.com – [LINK]
# Game Stats.com – [LINK]
The live servers will be up early next week in preparation for launch. Of course, when that happens the website and forums will once again be operable. Remember, if you're a beta player, you'll be able to login then and reserve your character names.
Cheers!
Must...reserve...crappy...names...!
Just two more days!

Beautiful Katamari...The Story So Far
The King and Queen of the Cosmos were playing Tennis with the Prince one day. Everything was going swimmingly until the King, who as we know is not only super duperly gorgeous but strong as well, serves up a powerful serve that goes wild and ends up opening a gaping Black Hole in the Universe which sucks up all the planets (even the fake planet Pluto). Now it's up to YOU, playing as the Prince of one of his cousins, to recreate the Solar System by rolling up as much shit as you possibly can.
That being said, despite me being a big Katamari fan, I have to admit that some of the fun of the series got sucked out along with the planets. I mean, there's still rolling up lots of shit to make the biggest katamari (or the fastest), only this time the King wants a certain category of your collection to be at the top to add to the spice. There's also still the silly sounds of folks saying, "Occupied," when you roll up a port-o-potty and random nekkid people running away from your Katamari. But the biggest fun sucker is...there's just ONE BIG STAGE with indoor and outdoor sections. There's nothing new. After completing the game (and it goes by fast) all you have is the same setting.
Anyhoo, a couple other things that peeve me:
1) Rolling seems harder to master (maybe because of the non-parallel placement of the sticks), and it actually took me a couple times to complete some of the touchier objectives (I accidentally rolled up a bunch of penguins in the 10,000 F challenge). I prefer the PS set up.
2) Lack of stages. You get normal and time attack (there's no reward for time attack--just a place on the Leader Boards) and the normal is the same ole' same ole' every time. In "We Love Katamari" some stages had up to 3 variants to test you.
3) You will be paying extra for stages coming out...NEXT WEEK. Sure the game was on the cheap side, but it was billed as a complete game. On 10/25/2007 we get to spend $10 more to download moar stages. And of course, all the stages I wanted to play, like the money collecting ones or the food eating ones, are supposedly packaged to download. *hiss hiss*
4) Online mode...is gay? It crashed like 80% of the time I tried it out.
5) NO SAVE THE PANDAS!?
6) All the music sounds the same. Although I do like the "Danketsu" parody song which a lot of anime fanbois/grrls will appreciate.
*sigh*
The verdict: Most likely, I will be paying for the extra stages after which I'll be going back to playing "We Love Katamari." :( Well, until rumours of a Wii/PS3 version come to fruition. *purr*

Operation Troy: Game Play Video
Hmmmmm.
It's looking kinda slow and clunky. Wonder how the FPS view would look...?
A couple more screenshots have been unveiled on the official site and not sure if it's available here too, but the JP XBox Market Place has some recent footage for download.

Ace Combat 6: High Def Long Trailer
Someone sent me the following link from Namco-ch.net, the Namco Bandai Game's Channel and it is quite gorgeous.
Thanks!
http://download.namco-ch.net/ace6/ace6_ft_hd.wmv
There is a bit of buffering but it's definitely got "Ace Combat"'s trade mark high quality stamp on it for story, music and cinematics. (Better than Dragon Wars! *snort*)
I'll have to keep checking this site for moar trailers!

Operation: Troy TGS Trailer
The trailer from TGS 2007 courtesy of GameTrailers.com, hurray!
The video text roughly translates (I'm being lazy) to:
It's the "1 Year War's you experience with your entire body."
Break the mold of the usual "Gundam" game play up to now and experience the "real battlefield" that comes to life from an infantry soldier's perspective.
Take command of the giant war machines, the Mobile Suits or Tanks and Jeeps to conquer the battlefield!
Online Mode Play Types:
--Assault
--Conquest
--Survival Mode
Up to 10 people can enjoy online mode together whilst on voice chat.
Single Player:
--Mission Mode
Survive the 1 Year War as a nameless infantry soldier.
Receive additional Mobile Suits, Maps and Decals from your performance or through the Market Place.

Hellgate London: Long Ass Game Play Video
I'm just getting into excitement mode after my (second) pre-order of the game for the dirty bonus goodies. (I never said I was smrt.)
This vid shows a lot more of the dirty Cabalist whores. The Blademaster looks pretty tight (I watched the Whirlwind skill) but the Marksman's 3 meter long sniper rifle is pretty sexah as well.
Ahhh. Soon. Soon my precioussssssss.

Hellgate London: Pre-Order Beta Date & Moar!
Oohhhhhhhh, I was reading some shit on EA.com looking for info on the latest BF2142 patch and...
Source:
EA and NAMCO BANDAI Announce a Trifecta of Pre-Order Treats for HELLGATE: LONDON
09.14.07
Here's Your Exclusive Chance to Open the Hellgate Before Halloween
Redwood City, Calif. – September 14, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today announced three special pre-order promotions for the highly anticipated action RPG Hellgate™: London in North America. Gamers who pre-order either the regular or Collector's Edition of Hellgate: London will receive:
* A key to an exclusive Beta starting next week and ending October 7, 2007.
* One of four exclusive dye-kits 1 that will give your hero's gear a cool color theme right off the bat when Hellgate: London officially opens on Halloween.
* Eligibility to take advantage of the Hellgate: London Founders Offer, giving hardcore players a chance to purchase a lifetime subscription 2 to Hellgate's premium service for $149.99.
“We're excited to get our most passionate players into the early Beta test, and to reward them with a special look once the game goes live on Halloween,” said Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios. “The Founder's offer is designed for those die-hard fans that will have had time to really get to know the game during the Beta phase and plan on spending a lot of time with us online.”
From the core team behind the global blockbuster action RPG Diablo® , Hellgate: London represents the next leap in the evolution of the genre, combining the depth and addictive gameplay of traditional RPGs with the visceral action of first-person shooters. Featuring a deep, story-driven campaign with over 40 hours of gameplay, Hellgate: London can be played alone offline or online through the entire campaign experience for free in a safe, client-server environment. For those players who want to extend their Hellgate: London experience, Flagship is offering an optional subscription service which will give players access to huge amounts of content on an ongoing basis in the form of quests, character classes, demons, items, etc.
Hellgate: London has been rated ‘M' for Mature by the ESRB and has been rated ‘18+' by PEGI. Visit www.esrb.org or www.pegionline.eu for more ratings information. For more information about the game, log onto http://info.ea.com or the game's official website at www.hellgatelondon.com .
1 A Dye Kit is an in-game item that lets you color your online character's armor set to a particular theme, determined by the retailer you purchased your pre-order from. Your specific Dye Kit information can be found on your pre-order card that contains the code. This item is linked to your account when you enter your pre-order code. However, it is not available for use in the Beta, but only in the Live (retail) version of the game.
2 "Lifetime Subscription" refers to the lifetime of the online subscription component for Hellgate: London , not the user's lifetime. Lifetime Subscription memberships are limited to the first 125,000 pre-order purchasers of Hellgate: London from participating retailers who upgrade prior to November 30, 2007. Prior to purchasing a Lifetime Subscription, the purchasers of the Hellgate: London must complete their purchase of the Hellgate: London software and create a Hellgate: London online subscription account. The user acknowledges and agrees that: (a) the Hellgate: London online component, including, but not limited to the online subscription component may be cancelled at any time, without any refunds or other compensation to the user; (b) the Lifetime Subscription does not automatically grant access to expansions of Hellgate: London which are sold as individual products, as such products must be purchased separately; (c) the user must accept and abide by the End User License Agreement for Hellgate: London and the Terms of Service, Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy for the Hellgate: London online component, as each are modified from time to time, at all times prior to the purchase of a Lifetime Subscription; and (d) in addition to the foregoing, Ping0, LLC retains the right to cancel a Lifetime Subscription as set forth in the Terms of Service to the Hellgate: London online component.

AHAHAHAHAHAH. That douche bag tried to knife a Zaku!? I know that Zakus are made of cardboard and duct tape (true statement), but come on!? You want your Gold Knife Badge that much!? Anyhoo, vid is from a while back and hopefully it'll look a whole lot beddah now. It is rather BF2142 but more gorgeous!

Gundam Operation Troy: FPS & Mecha Goodness!?
Ooh. I was checking out an article on Microsoft's "XBOX Media Briefing" involving the 3rd Party Publishers like Square-Enix and Techmo and noticed (because I like big robots) some screenies for a game called: "Gundam Operation Troy."
Now usually, Gundam games like this don't play well. The graphics may be gorgeous but the game play sucks blah blah. (Right above the entry for Operation Troy after all they have a game that plays like Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors but features Gundams instead--lame). But I can't help but be intrigued by Troy as according to the official website:
Gundam Operation Troy
You can play as both ground troops, exchanging fire with other ground troops (or scurrying for cover from the Mobile Suits) or as the Mobile Suits themselves blasting the ground troops to bits with a single missile volley. Talk about mass head shots.
According to the listing on the website:
Platform: XBOX 360 (XBOX LIVE scheduled)
Genre: FPS
Release: This Winter
Hope it comes to the US!

Beautiful Katamari: Dev Walk Through
I was making a list of games to save money for and in doing so, I visited the "Beautiful Katamari" site to look for new information. I don't know how I missed it before, but I noticed today that under genre, BK is listed as:
"Romance and Beauty."
....
Then I watched this developer video about the multiplayer and to be honest, they need to hire that Warhammer guy because this bitch (aka, Kristeen Kennedy) was boring and stupid as hell.
"There's a golf hole...and sometimes you can fall in and jump back out."
WTF!?
Then the bitch says, "I think it's too cute sometimes."
FAKE ASIAN!! I denounce you!
On a serious (SRS!?) note though. Please hire people who actually like the game as your PR people. (Or at least are good at pretending to like it.)

Ace Combat 6: Online Mode Details
While never being that great at it due to my ability to find any tree on the horizon and crash into it with laser precision, after "After Burner," the "Ace Combat" line of fighter sims/games has been one of my fave both graphics and story wise.
Now "Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation" is coming out for XBOX 360 on 11/1/07 in Japan (but you can download an English demo of it off of LIVE) and it also supports a nifty online mode and some special titles to make any accolade collector drool uncontrollably. (Well, drool more uncontrollably.)
Anyhoo, onto the different Online Modes:
Versus: Where a two players, or multiple players play 2 rounds, one on attack and one on defence. Attackers will (durh) attack an objective while the defender defends it. Simple enough.
Coop: Work together with a buddy to try to clear stages available in campaign mode with the highest score and as quickly as possible. According to Game Watch, there will also be a few stages in store for cooperative players where they face of huge enemies. Yay.
Titles: Approximately 100 of these will be made available to players, some of which only the cream of the crop will be able to obtain based on a number of criteria that are unique in the world. TAKE THAT!
Now, to make the Online Mode/Game Mode a bit more exhilarating and personalised, certain downloads will also become available:
1) Special paint schemes for your plane, from realistic, military patterns to sexy, really bright, gaudy shades.
2) Special planes with specialised utility. The example used was a super duperly fast plane with very limited to nil attack capabilities.
3) Special HARD CORE MODE missions for those who like the challenge.
4) Additional, special massive, multiplayer maps for online/coop mode with new objectives.

Beautiful Katamari Opening Movie
It's like, "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," meets XBOX 360. I loved the previous games (especially the ones that forced you to eat all the food you could or collect items of value for cash money ching) and will be picking this up when it comes out October 30, 2007.
Wahoo.
