Street Fighter the Movie: Cast Details Confirmed

At least Chun Li is somewhat AZN. Woot. And yes, no matter how crappy the reviews are, I'm definitely going to watch this!

Capcom Co., Ltd. today confirmed the main cast for its live-action Street Fighter movie based on the popular video game series.

The story revolves around Chun-Li, who will be portrayed by actress Kristen Kreuk ("Smallville"). Michael Clark Duncan plays Balrog, Neal McDonough is M. Bison, Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas is Vega, Chris Klein plays Charlie Nash, and Rick Yune is the mystical Gen.

The film will be made in conjunction with Hyde Park Films, and will be distributed by 20th Century Fox for a scheduled 2009 worldwide release.

The Street Fighter movie is only one of many projects Capcom has planned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Street Fighter." Summer 2008 will see the Japanese arcade release of the much-anticipated "Street Fighter IV."

"Street Fighter" was first released in 1987 to critical acclaim for its innovative features. This was followed up in 1991 with the smash hit "Street Fighter II," which broke records by being available in 500 thousand arcade cabinets and selling over 25 million units on home systems. These records cemented "Street Fighter's" reputation as one of the most popular fighting game series of all time, and ensured that the fighting genre would become a staple of the gaming world.

Moon Bloodgood, Edmund Chen, Cheng Pei Pei and Josie Ho also star.

Street Fighter Online: Mouse Generation

Back in the late 80s, early 90s, a most brutal war took place between two blood thirsty factions--those for "Street Fighter II" and those for "Mortal Kombat". Although "Street Fighter" the movie definitely lost to "Mortal Kombat 1," what many thought to be a never-ending battle comes to a definitive close for you Liu Kang lovers in 2008! Because it's "Street Fighter" that's coming to a PC and mouse near you (well near you in the Far East) according to Game Watch.

Yes, it's the same fighting backwards quarter circle + A type play (only with your mouse?) but now it's customizable:

And that's not only the character look but the character skills and special attacks as well (as shown by the evil kitten Chun Li):

Metal Gear Online Looking for 3000 Beta Testers...In Japan

Sad face on everyone's behalf:

Metal Gear Online

この度のクローズドベータテストに関しましては、日本国内へ向けたものとなっており、国外からのお問い合わせにつきましては、サポートの対象外とさせていただきます。

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Metal Gear ONLINE beta test is only open to users who currently reside in Japan and therefore we are afraid that we are unable to provide any support for applications from abroad.

But it's not an MMORPG/FPS or anything. According to IGN:

July 24, 2007 - It's official -- soon you'll be able to pretend to be Snake with a bunch of other Metal Gear nerds pretending to be Snake.

Early this morning at Konami's celebration of Metal Gear's 20th anniversary, the company rolled out the first details and footage of Metal Gear Online -- a hide and seek game for up to 16 players.

We'll have in-depth impressions in a little bit, but Konami's website is already showing nine images from the game and offering the following synopsis.

"At last, Metal Gear Online is headed to PS3! Featuring characters, stages, and the same control scheme as found in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4, this reloaded MGO experience packs in additional environments, game modes, and team-based multiplayer mayhem to make this the ultimate online companion to MGS4!"
