Oh Noes! Don't Take Away My Gamer Cred! (Some mini movie reviews)

Enchanted:

So...I was made fun of for wanting to watch "Enchanted," but like many girls who grew up in the late 80s/early 90s, I watched "the Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" in the theaters a number of times (and can sing all the terrible songs that go with them.) Heck, I might possibly even sometimes squeal when fuckin' High School Musical is on the Disney Channel. Ahhh! Another confession.

Anyhoo, it was actually cheesily good (I didn't expect much), and I reckon even manly men will like it (though they'll probably pretend to only be watching it for their girlfriend's sakes whilst bawling their eyes out in the bathroom later.)

Ahhh. Gotta love cheesy Susan Sarandon with a sort of Mad TV Tooth Fairy-esque vibe.

I went to see/rented a lot of movies this weekend for some reason waiting for the goose to cook/avoiding the terrible Jets game, and that definitely the best of the batch. The others were:

***MANY SPOILERS***

Bee Movie--2 funny moments and the rest...forgettable. Really really forgettable. I wished I had a bee smoker. Shoulda' had more Chris Rock.

3:10 to Yuma--if I was escorting a murderer/Russell Crowe I would use more than string to tie his hands together. You should not be able to throw/catch dynamite whilst "cuffed." Other than that, it weren't so bad if you manage to wake up for second half.

The Man That Shot Liberty Valance--My dad made me watch this on AMC or something since he's a big cowboy lover, and it was actually good. It's John Wayne vs Jimmy Stewart. Awesome.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium--I got a contact high from this movie. Seriously. It's so terrible and unfunny and unmagical and...just awful. I wanted to help Mr. Magorium die. At least that way it would have ended sooner. It feels like they thought they were remaking "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," but remade some cheap ass Korean knock off instead.
