After a long ass wait, FFXI is finally including the "Scholar" class. That's right! Librarians haven't been sexier! (Unless you count those H-games.) According to the info revealed at the "Altana Festival," depending on which grimoire they use (black or white), Scholars can provide pumped up white healing/weakening support or pumped up damage support, such as quick casting three back to back, long recast black magic spells against an enemy.

From what I read, I can't tell if they actually beat their enemies with books like in the earlier FF games, but I sure as hell hope they do. Take my Encyclopedia of Death!!
