UPDATES:

In lieu of the thousands of emails we’ve received since yesterday, here are a couple of updates:

* Please do not email cod4beta@infinityward.com. Our inboxes are filling up quickly and this email address is intended for Token Code troubleshooting only!

* If you have feedback for the Beta, leave it in the forums or email betafeedback@infinityward.com. Again, please do not email cod4beta@infinityward.com unless you are having issues downloading the Beta next week.

* ON MONDAY, ONLY UNITED STATES-BASED XBOX LIVE ACCOUNTS SHOULD BE REGISTERING FOR A SPOT IN THE BETA. If you are not in the United States and you sign up, you will not be able to play on the Beta. Please be patient, as we will get you a Token for your territory as soon as we can!

* After registering on Monday, you may not receive your token from cod4beta@infinityward.com for some time. Infinity Ward plans to email out tokens in small groups to ensure Xbox Live servers can withstand the added users. Please be patient and wait until you receive your Token. You will know if you have a spot in the Beta during the registration process; please do not email us to double check or ask for a status update. Thank you!

* We are proud to announce that the Public Beta will be available in the following countries: Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. We will post more information soon, so please check back in for updates for your country.


Thanks for being patient as we finalized details around the COD4:MW Multiplayer Beta. We promise it was worth the wait!

On Monday, August 27th at 12pm Pacific Daylight Time, tokens to download the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Xbox 360 Multiplayer Beta will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. While Charlie Oscar Delta’s tokens are linked to United States Xbox Live accounts only, we will be rolling the COD4:MW MP BETA out to additional select countries in early September. We will be posting the information here, at BETA HQ, so please check back for updates for your country.

More good news! If for some reason you can’t get a BETA token code via Charlie Oscar Delta, there will be more opportunities in early September to obtain North American token codes, including at GameSpot.com. We will share that information with you soon. Stay logged on to BETA HQ for all of the details.

Remember, at noon on Monday the 27th, Charlie Oscar Delta’s United States COD4:MW MP BETA token codes will be released on a first come, first serve basis. To participate in the BETA you need to be 18 or older, own an Xbox Live Gold membership based in the United States, have 1 gig of space on your Xbox360’s Hard Drive and be able to answer 3 trivia questions correctly. They will test your Call of Duty prowess; but don’t worry, we have a feeling you’ll be able to figure them out! :)

We will send your token code to the email address you provide during the registration process. If using an email client such as Yahoo, Gmail, or Hotmail, be sure to check your junk mail folder. Also, please add cod4beta@infinityward.com to your address book. This will ensure that you don’t miss out on any of the action. Infinity Ward will be sending out Token Codes in batches to ensure the Xbox Live servers are ramped up at a safe pace. We ask that you please be patient and wait until your Token Code arrives.
