New Huxley High Quality Screenies & Closed Beta Information

Here's my translation of a recent article about the Korean MMOFPS, "Huxley," as posted on the Japanese game site, MMOFAN (make sure you click this to see all the pictures):

Brand new, high quality images of characters and various other screenshots from the Korean MMOFPS "Huxley," have been revealed.

Although at the heart an FPS, "Huxley" also will include quests and character development typical of an MMORPG. Additionally, unlike the military FPSs of today featuring a modern day/near future setting, "Huxley" is a hyper styled FPS spanning the entire solar system and set in the aftermath of the destruction of the moon due to a giant, unidentified material. The story itself is chockful of tense action, revolving around mankind's struggle to survive after the remains of the destroyed moon begin to cause the occurrence of unnatural phenomenon on Earth.

Players will pick from two main races to play, the "Sapiens," and the "Alternatives." Additionally, there is a third race called the "Hybrids" which are mutations of the other two races. This third race, serve as a balancing force between the two main races, and because of their great impact upon the "Huxley" story, will instead appear as NPCs.

Currently, only images of the Sapien "One"--Man--and the "Syn"--Woman--have been revealed.

In other news, it is believed that Closed Beta Testing has been scheduled to begin in Q3 of 2007.
