CrimeCraft: Open Beta Begins July 31st, 2009 @ 2 PDT

And by soon, I mean in a couple hours! It's free to sign up with Fileplanet, so definitely take advantage of the OB while it lasts.

As you all know by now, we shut the doors on Closed Beta Monday. But that isn’t the end of your CrimeCraft experience. For many of you, it’s just beginning!

Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. PDT, 5 p.m. EDT and 9 p.m. GMT we will invite all of our old friends from Closed Beta and a bunch of new targets … I mean, new friends … into our Open Beta test. You can sign up for Open Beta right here on our site and download the client from our buddies at FilePlanet and IGN.

Our Open Beta is a chance for a wide variety of gamers to get in and try CrimeCraft, the premier Persistent World Next-Gen Shooter (PWNS)! When the servers go live Friday at 2 p.m. PDT, you’ll get to experience a revamped tutorial system as well as a number of enhancements that are being added based on the Closed Beta experience. What kind of enhancements you ask? You’ll see improved stability, more mission content, an improved UI, improved weapon balancing and more!

If you were a part of our Closed Beta, all you need to do is patch up to the latest version to play.

If you haven’t had a chance to take part in the beta, we’re partnering with IGN and FilePlanet to give you an opportunity to download the client ahead of time so you’re ready to get in the game when the Open Beta launches Friday.

If you’re a CrimeCraft user who wasn’t in the Closed Beta, you will be able to download the client from FilePlanet beginning Wednesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. PDT, 5 p.m. EDT and 9 p.m. GMT.Come back to CrimeCraft.com tomorrow at 2 p.m. PDT for your link to the download page.

If you’re new to CrimeCraft, click here to register for our site and after registration you’ll be able to download the client at FilePlanet beginning Wednesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. PDT, 5 p.m. EDT and 9 p.m. GMT.

Once the client is downloaded and installed, just wait for the servers to go live at 2 p.m. PDT Friday and get in the game!
