Suntory and Square Enix are teaming up to release a special canned edition of their Final Fantasy VII potion drink. The cans, which go on sale October 23rd, will have 16 different versions, each depicting a character from Final Fantasy VII. the potions will be priced at 191 yen a can, which is about 1.65 US dollars. While it is a limited edition drink, the fact that 4.8 million cans will be put on sale probably means they will be widely available across Japan!
I remember when the first version of this came out a few years ago when FFXI was big. I went to Mitsuwa (where I do a lot of food shopping because it has the leetz AZN people food I cook with) and got inundated by emo anime kids looking for it. And I was scared. Please, no moahh!!
If you signed up before time, expect your tokens soon!

Hey Charlie Oscar Delta,
We've got some FANTASTIC news for you regarding the Beta Registration!
We'll get into the details, but first off, a special shout out to everyone who has been a part of Charlie Oscar Delta since day one as well as a big thank you to all who came to the site during the 24 hour Beta Drawing. We are very grateful for your participation and patience during the process and bearing with us as we made some last minute adjustments. Now, we are proud to announce that your dedication to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has paid off, as we have gathered up more Beta tokens to reward everyone who signed up and qualified. No random drawing necessary!
Our special thank you... everyone who signed up and qualified will be receiving a Beta token.
In fact, the first batch of tokens is being sent out immediately. Please note that tokens are being distributed in waves. About 10,000 people will be given tokens per day to slowly ramp up to the full amount while the beta game servers are being tested in every aspect.
Don't worry if you missed out on this Monday and Tuesday's Beta enrollment window. As we mentioned before, there will be plenty of opportunity to enroll in the Beta in the coming days and weeks through Gamespot.com and Gamestop, and potentially here on Charlie Oscar Delta as well. Remember, our International community members have their very own exclusive tokens / sign-ups coming up too!
Have a blast playing the Beta while helping us perfect the online Multiplayer experience, but don't forget about all the cool happenings at Charlie Oscar Delta... We still have plenty of fun missions, contests, polls and trivia in the works, as well as tons of prizes and swag packs for you to win. Be sure to check out our latest Banner Design Contest that just kicked off today too!
Sincerely,
Charlie Oscar Delta Staff
I'll keep an eye out for MOAR keys.
p.s. If you get an extra key, you can give it to someone else as the keys are tied to the specific XBOX itself, not your GamerTag/CharlieOscarDelta Logins.
Warning, Client From Official Site might be Corrupt During Transfer. Please DL from File Front We been having people complaining about client from Official Site is causing problems during installation. The file is good, just something lost during transfer. So for now, please download from the file front sites that Steel and I uploaded.
I have no doubt at all, that this game will be as terrible as the series...BUT WHY!? WHY THEN DO I WATCH IT!? ATHF is seriously like a train wreck. So...awfully...good. *cry*
While never being that great at it due to my ability to find any tree on the horizon and crash into it with laser precision, after "After Burner," the "Ace Combat" line of fighter sims/games has been one of my fave both graphics and story wise.
Now "Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation" is coming out for XBOX 360 on 11/1/07 in Japan (but you can download an English demo of it off of LIVE) and it also supports a nifty online mode and some special titles to make any accolade collector drool uncontrollably. (Well, drool more uncontrollably.)
Anyhoo, onto the different Online Modes:
Versus: Where a two players, or multiple players play 2 rounds, one on attack and one on defence. Attackers will (durh) attack an objective while the defender defends it. Simple enough.
Coop: Work together with a buddy to try to clear stages available in campaign mode with the highest score and as quickly as possible. According to Game Watch, there will also be a few stages in store for cooperative players where they face of huge enemies. Yay.
Titles: Approximately 100 of these will be made available to players, some of which only the cream of the crop will be able to obtain based on a number of criteria that are unique in the world. TAKE THAT!
Now, to make the Online Mode/Game Mode a bit more exhilarating and personalised, certain downloads will also become available:
1) Special paint schemes for your plane, from realistic, military patterns to sexy, really bright, gaudy shades.
2) Special planes with specialised utility. The example used was a super duperly fast plane with very limited to nil attack capabilities.
3) Special HARD CORE MODE missions for those who like the challenge.
4) Additional, special massive, multiplayer maps for online/coop mode with new objectives.
Alright, if you haven't seen this or don't know what "Robot Chicken" is, then today you learn. There are quite a few episodes, with skits much funnier than some of the ones included in the "Star Wars" special, and most of them, if not all, wrong in so many ways. Anyhow, watch and learn. All geeks/gamers need to:
Yesterday I got my hands on the 1st book of the Hellgate: London "Exodus" trilogy written by Mel Odom. I've yet to finish it but when I do I'll review it.
Anyhoo, here is the little blurb accompanying the original trilogy:
The once-great city lies in ruins. A massive gash in the fabric of our reality roils against the horizon as it blends into a permanently darkened sky. The world as we know it has come to an end. Demons, the visions of our nightmares, walk the Earth. Mankind, driven in retreat to the sanctuary of the Underground, struggles to survive the Hellish apocalypse.
Among the survivors are those who foresaw the coming of the darkness, those who see it as an opportunity to improve the standing of man, and those who seek revenge for what was lost. All are now banding together in the shadows, arming themselves with futuristic weapons and arcane spells designed for one purpose -- to battle the demonic hordes and take back their world.
However, Exodus takes place 18 years before that in 2020.
Meanwhile, Mel Odom has written a bunch of books including some "Forgotten Realms" one (don't ask how I know) about mean sahagins. I always thought they made noises like the Taun Taun cry from "Robot Chicken"....
A wittle moah information on Koei's "Sangokushi Online."
Visit the official site to watch the new "Warfare" video.
Meanwhile, if you want sign up for Open Beta by first creating an account with GameCity and then registering for the Open Beta itself. You can do both at the following site if you can read Japanese or if you enjoy muddling through:
From what I can see there isn't anything about foreign accounts being IP banned. As for the language barrier, according to a "First Look" review I read on the Japanese site "Game Watch," the reviewer's one complaint about the game was the "impossible" loads of ancient Kanji to read, so maybe it won't make a difference if you can or can't read Japanese. Per the reviewer, while the suffocating amounts of Kanji added to the over all ambiance of the game, unfortunately, because it some missions were hard to get information for...for example, "Hey, does anyone know where Keishuu is? Urr, Kaishuu? Keisha?"
Here is the copy I'll be picking up. I really really really tried to do the XBOX play but it's just so clunky compared to mah good ole mouse and keyboard.
Unfortunately, one of the perks will not be the ability to give your soldier different haircuts. BOoooooOOOOO!!

Activity 2: Golden Weekend: The experience will be doubled for the whole weekend. Enable the players promote their characters’ level in a short time.
The original link posted by Dinosaur Girl, the Admin was actually the wrong link so she's updated to a FileFront Link instead which I've posted below:
Start your download now so you can play on Friday, August 31st @ 7:00 PM (-5 GMT). Oh, and remember to get your keys if you do not have them already.
I am using the Filefront one and that is actually working compared to the torrents and DinoGirl's original link. Should be done in a few hours due to everyone downloading all at once.
You can also download the client from the site itself at: AOAUS.COM (It's still leads to File Front!)
Wahahah. I was bored and reading MMORPG.COM when I noticed this huge LOTR banner. I didn't think the game was out long enough to warrant a free trial already, but oh well, it's free. (I was angry with Turbine about DDO during the Beta so I actually did not participate, so I guess I'll try it now.)
No credit card is needed to sign up so check it out below:

I just don't know about playing for Betas...I mean, really, what happened to earning a spot because you actually want to help the game company? What happened to filling out an application? What's next? $250 figures to play Bet...oh wait, that's "Hellgate: London."

Ahhhhhhhh, I love Snail Game and their awful ass mods. I wonder if they stole them from the Official US EA BF2142 servers?
Since it's getting closer, for those of us that still don't hate EA/DICE, here is that old ass trailer for the (eww) console Battlefield, "Bad Company." If they actually have teh funnehs in the game, I will probably play it since I like the other BF titles:
The big deal about this (other than it being for the console), are the destructible environments.
Right now, BBC has a March 2008 projected released date. XD But before that, I would like to see BF: 1776. Take some musket head shot to the face, red coat!!
Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa is a multiplayer online action game that takes you into the heat of battle. You're at the frontlines of an epic war between a xenophobic alien race bent on galactic conquest and the coalition of rebel soldiers who have traveled across the galaxy to stop them.
It's up to you to use your stealth, ingenuity, and skill to assist a ragtag coalition of rebels in their efforts to stop a cunning and determined enemy from enslaving the universe. Important: The beta will be available to play at the following times: Tuesdays 3pm-11:59pm PST Thursdays 3pm-11:59pm PST Fridays 3pm PST through Sunday 11:59pm PST
The 24-hour enrollment window for this first wave of US Beta tokens has concluded. Tonight's drawing will determine who will receive a Beta token.
If you registered, continue to monitor your email as we will be contacting you within 72 hours with news on whether or not you were admitted. Please be patient and wait until you hear from us. Even if your name is not chosen in the random drawing, there will be more ways to get into the Beta, and we will continue to update you on the details as soon as they're finalized!
Remember, to be eligible to receive a token from CharlieOscarDelta.com - you must be 18 years of age or older, own an active Xbox Live Gold Membership in the United States and have one gig of free space on your Xbox 360’s Hard Drive.
If you use an email client such as Yahoo, G-mail, or Hotmail, please be sure to check your junk mail folder for news on whether or not you've been selected. Also, please add Cod4beta@infinityward.com to your address book. This will ensure that you don't miss out on any of the action.
International members, please remember to stay tuned, as news on how you can get a Beta token for your country will be coming soon!!!

Due to overwhelming interest in the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Beta, we will no longer be accepting entry into the program on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure everyone has a fair shot at getting in, the Beta Registration System has been reopened, and will remain open for the next 24 hours. Click "BETA" to enter Beta HQ and select "ENTER NOW." We will collect names until 7pm PST tomorrow, Tuesday August 28th, after which we will randomly select names for entry into the Beta. Within 72 hours of this lottery, we will contact you via email with news on whether or not you were admitted.
If you are selected, we will contact you via email with your Token. Please be patient and wait until you receive your token, as we plan to send out Token Codes in batches to ensure the Xbox Live servers are ramped up at a safe pace.
If you use an email client such as Yahoo, G-mail, or Hotmail, please be sure to check your junk mail folder for news on whether or not you’ve been selected. Also, please add Cod4beta@infinityward.com to your address book. This will ensure that you don't miss out on any of the action.
HURRYYYYYYYYYYYY!! While the website is still up! (Because the boards are down for some reason.)
So, I was reading the Perfect World Malaysia Boards to find a concrete date for release and of course everything is still speculation. The earliest date is 8/31/07 and now some new stuffs about September, 2007.
Personally, I hope it's September based on the following posts:
Or next? ::worry:: School will start next month I won't have much free time... ::cry::
yeah, it's sad that they're postponing it this much - because now not as many people are going to play either because they're tired of waiting, or most likely because of school. I know I'm going to have hardly any time to play starting september 9th - because I have school and work and homework. D:
AHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. SUCKAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Get ye to a school you bastards so testing will be all mine mine mine.
According to Gamespot where this was pilfered from:
The Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning stage demo from PAX 2007!
Me love accomplishments!!
I know they were also talking about letting us wear the skulls of our enemies in our beards in an earlier vid, but I would like a crown that says, "I HEAD SHOTZ U IN TEH FACE."
p.s. Why is the bitch at the bottom of the vid wearing nothing but a skanktastic bra? WITH NO SUPPORT!? Saggy boobs = bad!
If you're older than the average age of Alliance players in WoW, then you've probably heard of "Ultima". It is after all, "THE OG" MMO. (Scarier than Suge Hill.) Anyhow, if you're curious to see how us old folk used to game back in the day (well, not entirely since this version has a new UI, skill system and graphics engine) and try a game that still has an ass ton of its original gamers saying "best game EVAH", check out this two week free trial offer of "Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn":
For folks who have played before but want to try it out again, here is what "Reborn" has done according to the FAQs page:
Q: What is Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn? Just a new client or more? A: We are re-drawing the graphics and building a new user interface that will be easier-to-use for players new and old. (At the same time, we're working to give long time players UI options that will let them play almost exactly the way they play now.)
We will be polishing and improving some areas of UO game play, but the core sets of rules, systems and content will remain intact. The idea is to give current, former, and new players a vibrant, thriving world that looks and plays like it's new, that also takes advantage of Ultima Online's nine years of features, content and culture.
While you're signing up, view the official trailer here.
WARNING: UO does not run on the Unreal 3 engine. It probably doesn't even run on the Unreal 1/4 engine. There are no 30 minute long summons. But hey, give it a go at least :) It's FREEEEEEEEEE! (You do have to enter your CC info however which is sucky.)
For those of you with one of those super duper proxies and sexy Korean reading skills, the Official "Huxley" website is up over in Korea. Visit it here to check it out:
They will be looking for 999 testers starting 8/28/07 to9/6/07. The test duration will run from 9/13/07 to 9/17/07 with play times at 14:00 to 22:00 Korea time.
There are some new screenshots too if you visit the "Multimedia" tab up top. Yay!
As of now, Huxley is looking at a Q1 2008 release.
After a terrible BF round, I began to sulk and scour the incredible unedible Intranetz! Anyhoo, here is the most recent "Fallen Earth" promotional video. Prior to this, the other vids on the site are a couple years old:
Now, I guess everyone likes games that allow you to bash zombies in the head with metal pipes, but...why does everyone have to be so short and stout? Everyone in the vid's like, Wolverine stocky. I think I'll probably go check it out in open beta when the times the time however as there aren't any MMO/Scifi/Cyberpunk-ish games.
I think it's time to write FASA a letter and get some "Shadowrun" MMO or better yet, a "MechWarrior" MMO going. *purr*
According to the poster of the vid, this is game play for a level 5, Engineer. I wonder if Flagship made people buy one of those damn Weta figurines for a test play. XP (Nope, not bitter at all.)
I was trying to check out the Beta Token Give Aways early (it starts 2 PM my time) to see if I could post info for those of you looking for a Token...I've been trying for 30 min on and off and of course, because of WONDAFUU planning, the website is down.
Grats to everyone that was able to log in and hope you get your Beta Keys, but I'm so so sorry to everyone that is trying now because the site is down. This happened during the first "surprise" Beta Token give away as well and it's good to see that they learned from that mistake.
But don't worry. Remember? There were be plenty more chances in September they announced earlier. Still, to schedule a contest and have their site be down? Seems pretty lame.
I'll try to get moar info once I can get onto the site.
UPDATE
It now 2:30 PM and the website is still inaccessible, but check out what I found on Wiki:
On August 27th, 2007, CharlieOscarDelta.com was swamped with excessive traffic several hours before the beta sign up even began. Contrary to what most users hoped for and believed, the server did not hold up at all and most potential beta members were left constantly refreshing an endless number of "Timed Out" error messages. Less than twenty minutes into the sign up, the tokens were gone, with a crappy post on the website stating:
"Although Charlie Oscar Delta's Token Codes have been reserved, there will be many more opportunities to get into the Beta! Check back into SITREP often, as we'll be updating the site with information as soon as it's finalized.
In the United States and Canada, we are working with GameSpot and GameStop on two new ways to reserve a spot in the Beta. Our International users will be excited to learn that plans to get into the Beta are moving along quickly, and we'll have updates for all the countries listed in the FAQ soon!"[11]
Thanks to the company's terrible planning and their server's lack of ability to hold the increased traffic, many users were screwed out of having any legitimate chance of getting into the beta.
I had read about "The Witcher" a while back and checked back in on it today. In the "Witcher," you play Geralt, a monster hunter (I guess like a male "Claymore") who has sex with a lot of ho bags and kills a lot of monsters. SCORE! La da deee, European release dates are 10/25/07 so the US release should be around then as well.
And yes, as aforementioned, THERE WILL BE HOES IN THE GAME!! HURRAH! Apparently, when companies want to make games "Mature," they put hoes in the game. I just want to see some bad ass decaps and exploding monsters personally, but hoes will do.
The Witcher is based on the writers of Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, but you can buy an English translated version of his novel at Amazon.UK. I'm gonna pick it up myself since it looks like a good, bloody read. (I was reading through the reviews and even the douche who said he hated the book gave it 5 stars...WTF!?) Ahh, now that's a good book. I just hope Uwe Boll doesn't make it into a movie.
The original trailer was released during E3 a few months ago and it looked pretty tight although I did not see any hobbits or elves in it (Peter Jackson is supposed to be executive producer of the Halo Live Action Movie after all.) And now Major League Gaming has managed to get its Cheetoe encrusted hands on part 2, albeit unfinished. View them in fanboidom until 9/25/07 and the actual game comes out:

MOAR ARTICLES: Three Kingdoms, Three Transformers--An article where Snail pretty much admits that they ripped off the Transformers despite what idiot fanbois say.
Imagination Unchained--Let your imagination run wild and win prizes from Snail Game by designing your own Transformer.
This is pretty cool though. Someone made a paper Bumblebee:
HURRY!! Make one and win something foah me! HURRYYYY!! They said you can use beer cans. I don't drink, but someone can sacrifice and make it for me.
Downer's Grove is like an hour away from me if I drive really slow (and being Asian, that's not the case) so maybe...MAYBE...come October I shall venture forth from my battlefort (aka basement--NOT!) and into public) for a chance at a beta slot:
By: Richard Duffek 23 Aug 2007 16:59:51 EST (<== See how slow I am?)
Check out these great events hosted by Games Workshop for your chance to win:
September 12th - 16th, Games Workshop will be raffling off 50 beta cards for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning! Every hour will be your chance to win, just show up and enter at the Games Workshop Hobby Center for the Hobby Festival located at:

Midnight October 12th - 14th, be sure to show up at the Games Workshop Battle Bunkers located in the cities of Baltimore, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles for the release of the new Warhammer 40,000 Apocalypse game. There will be games, prizes, and a chance to win 1 of the 100 beta cards for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning! Every hour will be your chance to win just for showing up. Be sure to participate in this weekend long extravaganza! Here's where you need to go:
Games Workshop Chicago Battle Bunker 1524 Butterfield Road Downers Grove, IL. 630-426-0120

Games Workshop LA Battle Bunker 6735 Westminster Blvd., Suite D Westminster, CA. 714-892-2973
But, first of all, is a Battle Bunker even safe? Second, will people touch me? Third, can I touch them and finally, if there is touching, will they be legal? Although, I think I will settle for that Paul guy. He is cute in an insane, don't touch, just look way. <3 <3
Hmm. I hope I do not have to fight in those boots. Because they might hurt mah feets. But really, they couldn't have gotten some real hoochie dancers? I'm sure the chain mail was...heavy compared to the pasties they normally wear, but still. Come on ladies. Or do you need a pole?
They need dancing elephants to make me a fangurl. Sorry Funcom.
p.s. I showed this video to a real "guy" and he actually was more interested in the shoes and the music than the hoes. OH NOES!! Hell has officially frozen!
So like, there are three with a big huzzah to Game Trailers:
I guess you can play as a "jackass" if you want to, but once again, I hate the XBOX controller for FPSs. They seriously need a small asian handed people version.
Purr purr purr. You have to let the dude talk a bit before you get to the good stuff but it's pretty nice looking--like FFXI meets graphics card upgrade with the cut scenes and character models.

I wonder if Miss Tina will be in it? Now, if Hellgate's any good, maybe this one will be too? It promises FPS and RPG, so let moi keep a stalking eye on it.
Last night I was up late doing useless stuffs and me and my buddy happened to catch a show called "Murder" on Spike TV. Now, we had both seen previews for it before, but never actually caught it since it usually airs during prime gaming time. So this time, I decided to tune in and watch since I was oddly curious about it.
And yeah, if you like CSI (or am a douche bag that enjoys pretending you're Sara or Gil and dropping terms like "DB") and don't mind crime pics of brains splattered all over the place or caved in skulls, I guess this show is going to be to your liking. At one point, in the episode I watched (about hick homicide), they kept spamming pics of brains all over the place over and over again so I made my buddy watch for me while I looked away and listened (yes, remember, I couldn't use the potty after BioShock?)
Anyhoo, there are 6 folks who get split up into 2 teams of three. They're given a briefing, crime scene pics etc and they try to solve a real murder. According to wiki:
MURDER is a ten episode reality television series which premiered on Spike TV on July 31, 2007. Two teams of civilians investigate a recreated crime scene and have 48 hours before they must present their findings to detective Tommy LeNoir, after which Le Noir describes what happened at the actual crime scene, how the real investigators came up with their findings. He evaluates the teams and tells them how well they conducted their investigation. The prize is a donation made to a victim's charity.
An example of an episode is:
Real people try to solve a homicide case involving a man found in his bedroom with his skull and face crushed beyond recognition.
MmmmMmmm, yummy! And yet, as morbid as this shit is, I'm still talking about it, aren't I? What next? The "Real" Running Man? America's Funniest Home Videos Meets Faces of Death?
Anyhoo, if gore is your thang, this is definitely for ya. And better yet, you can watch the full episodes online below courtesy of IFilm. Enjoy! (Click the 40 min long ones of course.)
FREE BATTLE ELEPHANT WITH PRE-ORDER!??? I'm going to be a Thai Elephant Riding Mercenary ho bag. MmmMMmm.
It looks a bit vanilla but hey, I like vanilla. Besides, they still won Best of Show (Online):
Durham, USA – August 24th, 2007 – Funcom and Eidos’ highly anticipated massively multiplayer online game ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ has been awarded the prestigious, official ‘Best Online Game of the Show’ award at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. The trade show is one of the largest gaming conventions in the world and by far the largest in Europe, with all of the major upcoming game titles represented.
The award was won in competition with online games from all genres and across all platforms, and was presented by a jury consisting of gaming industry press and mainstream press.
Funcom and Eidos are also very proud to have won the OMEGA award for “Best Online Game”, presented by a German online games magazine association made up of the most important gaming media in Germany; including two of the largest gaming web sites. Other nominees for this award included: ‘Warhammer Online’, ‘Hellgate: London’ and ‘Unreal Tournament 3’.
“This is a great honor to everyone working on ‘Age of Conan’,” says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “These awards really show that our massive efforts are paying off and that the public, the press and the industry are recognizing the very strong qualities of the game.”
‘Age of Conan’ is heavily represented at this year’s Games Convention. The game is being shown in the Microsoft area, the Eidos area and behind closed doors to select press. Funcom is showing all new content, including player-versus-player sieges and mini-games.
“Siege warfare and player-versus-player battles are some of the most anticipated features in ‘Age of Conan’,” says Game Director Gaute Godager. “We recognize the tremendous importance that Games Convention has in the industry and that is why we chose this to be the arena for first showing off these features, letting gamers play player-versus-player for the first time.”
Still, I'm going to contain my excitement, because that failure of a game DDO won a bunch of "best ofs" as well.
The buzz on the official AOA boards was 8/24/07 and dutifully, I stalked said page. They have indeed, updated their website and the front page reads, "STATUS: CLOSED BETA." However, the links to the downloads do not work and there's no news yet on the official boards. (I had to re-register because I don't remember my password and it's only been like a month or two. Sad face. I guess I am getting old.)
Anyhoo, right now, the hot topic of the forums be the strangely rounded, yellow VW bug looking like "transformer" that decorates the website header.
Basically, someone said, "Hey that looks like Bumblebee. Is that copyright infringement? Just a warning so you don't get in trouble."
But thanks to our mod, cyber7CHINK aka Cyber7ron, the conflict was laid to rest:
The Chinese site and original client has been around for a while. If anything was going to happen, it would have happened by now. YOu also have to think about something. Do they look exactly like the transformers. I know you "seen" Bumblebee, but does it exactly look like Bumblebee?
From what I see, its a hybrid of 2 versions of Bumblebee. The G1 and another toy version of him. Much like all the other ones that look like the Transformers you think they are.
If you noticed, the Volkswagon is much like vehicle mode of the G1 Bumblebee, but the Armor mode looks like the Bumblebee classic version (similar to a Honda CRX). Since there really isnt a actual Bumblebee that is both versions in one, it can be a AoA armor model.
I guess the poor guys got bombarded by id10ts spamming, "Y R NOT I IN BETA!!!!??!?!!111"
For the more civilised, literate person, check out the following updates per CharlieOscarDelta:

Now, if you're expecting to see "in-game" shots like me, you'll be disappointed. Apparently Funcom decided that posting 2 dozen hot chick pics was better than posting hot pics of their goddamn game (there put 3 up so far). Still, there they are:

Durham, USA – August 20th, 2007 – Funcom’s highly anticipated massively multiplayer online game ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ is getting ready to invade this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Not only will the siege warfare system be demonstrated to select press behind closed doors, gamers will also be able to join in on the fun by playing against each other in brutal, bloody, and ferociously fast-paced player-versus-player battles on the show floor.
“It is time for the gloves to come off,” says Game Director Gaute Godager. “This is the first time we will let consumers get their hands on the game at a trade show and we are kicking off by letting them experience the intensity of player-versus-player battles. This is the true Conan experience – bloody and barbaric!”
The siege warfare gameplay, one of the most anticipated features in ‘Age of Conan’, will be shown behind closed doors for select press for the first time ever. In the game guilds will be able to construct entire battlekeeps for themselves and they can even capture and destroy other guild’s battlekeeps by going into battle against them. Players will enter into epic struggles for fame, fortune and land using swords, cavalry and catapults as they charge towards each other on the blood-soaked battlefields of Hyboria.
“In recent years the Games Convention in Leipzig has grown into one of the most important trade shows in the business,” says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “This is a great venue for us to show off new material from ‘Age of Conan’ and to let gamers play the game for the first time ever at a trade show.”
Everyone is invited to come and play ‘Age of Conan’ themselves in the Eidos area in Hall 3, booth B20. Funcom staff will also be demoing the game to everyone who is interested at the Microsoft area.
"Top Gear" is a show from England where they test out the latest and not so latest vehicles (I say vehicles because they're not necessarily cars) and present it to the viewer honestly, and rather humourously. It's a good show so if games like Gran Turismo are your style, then you definitely want to check it out. You can watch the episodes on line at their main site or Youtube as the segments run about 5-10 mins a piece.

And by the way, the site's down NOW. Can't imagine how badly the site'll get hammered come Monday.
Can we stand to see MOAR FPSs!? Well, I can and this one looks like it might have quite a bit of potential! (Source: Game Watch.)
Running on the Unreal 3.0 Engine like "Gears of War" and "Huxley," AVA, Alliance of Valiant Arms, is a present day, military FPS developed by Korean Redduck and published by Neowiz.
According to the hype, it's supposed to be bloody, beautiful and realistic, and will cater to more high end/high spec machines.
AVA players will pick from 3 classes, Pointman, Rifleman and Sniper. Pointmen will use weapons like MP5 submachineguns, and specialise in rocking it up front and personal. Riflemen will use assault rifles like the AK48/M4, and are able to fight equally well up close and from a distance. And of course, Snipers will be using a *SURPRISE* sniper rifle and their specialty, thanks to their scopes, will be long range combat. Points can be earned in game which can be turned in for goodies to help customise your weapons; for example, purchase a part to increase the firing rate but lower damage output (each part however has a negative/positive to maintain balance). It may be possible to up an individual soldier's skill as well....
Here are some screenies of the customisation:
Awards like medals and ribbons will be received ala Battlefield, and mission types will be Counterstrikeish, up tot 8 vs 8, Death Match, Capture and Set Us Up the Bomb mode. In addition to a number of maps (with names such as SnakeEye and FoxHunting), there are also day and night functions as well for certain maps.
AVA is now in open beta over in Korea, and maybe we'll get to see it soon.
